APOPKA, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – A teacher was arrested and accused of child molestation.

Kimberly Honaker, 48, was a sixth-grade teacher at Apopka Middle School. She was arrested over the weekend but released; then rearrested Tuesday on additional charges.

Police say she and her live-in boyfriend Robert Pruitt were having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl.  Sometimes Pruitt would have sex with the 13-year-old on his own, according to police.

Police say they were informed of the relationship when Pruitt’s estranged wife discovered text messages, emails, and messages on Facebook.

The child is currently in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

Hanoker was booked into the Orange County Jail on $1,000 bond and faces two felony charges.

Apopka Middle School left a voicemail for parents, which said: You may see media reports regarding one of our teachers who was arrested this past weekend for a situation unrelated to any of the duties the teacher performs here at our school.”
