Rollergirl’s Stories We Missed

We are deep into the NHL and NBA finals, we saw California Chrome win the Preakness and the Rays had a tough road trip this weekend, but I’m sure there is some Stories We Missed.

Donald Sterling is in the news again and it looks like he has a new squeeze! Sterling and a young Asian lady were seen in Westwood, CA this weekend at an In-N-Out. He rolled up in a Rolls Royce Phantom with the woman and a man who looked to be a manager. We all hate Sterling for his comments, but let’s be honest he has good taste in cars and cheeseburgers.

I used to date a guy who snored all night long, so I bought him nasal strips and he could breathe again. Well, apparently the 2014 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner California Chrome has the same problem. The horse will be wearing nasal strips in the third leg of the Triple Crown race the Belmont June 7 in New York. California Chrome has worn a nasal strip to help him breathe during his current six-race winning streak. There hasn’t been a Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.

Many students have been graduating this month, but one very special man to the Buccaneers organization graduated this weekend. Rutgers student Eric LeGrand graduated with a bachelor’s degree in labor relations. He began his college career in 2008, in 2010 he suffered an injury during a Rutgers football game that left the former defensive tackle paralyzed from the neck down. His path to the degree took six years. Congrats!
