Former Bucs DE Steve White joined Booger and Rich to discuss the Bucs draft and the current QB situation between Josh McCown and Mike Glennon.

White said that he really liked the Mike Evans pick. When you think about what Josh McCown did at Chicago, he had 2 big WR to throw to and now he has those same type of targets here in Tampa.

The Bucs didn’t draft a QB and White said that it came down to two things: the Bucs didn’t have ammunition to move up and get a QB and they didn’t have a guy they liked enough when the picks came to them.

Lovie Smith called Mike Glennon the QB of the future on Thursday night and White said right now he is. When you look at the roster, there’s no one else who could be the Bucs future QB. White said that Lovie did a little car salesman pitch because you don’t want to talk Glennon down if you’re trying to move him. You want to make him seem like the best thing since sliced bread.

White said Charles Sims gives the Bucs a bigger target out of the backfield and to him this offense looks a lot like the Bears’ offense under Lovie Smith in Chicago.
