Bucs 5th Round Pick: T Kevin Pamphile

Kevin Pamphile – Tackle – Purdue

6’5″ 310 pounds – Senior

Secured the starting left tackle spot in 2012 season, appearing in all 13 games and starting nine of them. Began career with the Boilermakers as a defensive end in 2009, before moving to the offensive line in 2011.

Adequate height and length for the position. Very balanced and coordinated with good movement skills out in space. Good explosion off the line of scrimmage with an aggressive approach and competes on every snap. Does a nice job protecting the edge with a smooth shuffle keeping rushers outside the pocket. Has raw power and could use some build, especially in his lower body. Can improve against moves to the inside, still growing at the position.

Pamphile is another piece to the Bucs offense that has potential. He has room to grow and build his strength. But he is athletic and can cover a good amount of ground. The Miami, Florida native competes on every play and wins most of the battles. Another piece added to the mix as the Bucs look to solidify the offensive line.
