Moments after being taken in the 2nd of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers former Washington Huskies TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins joined Fan Interference to share his excitement.

Seferian-Jenkins said he had a formal interview at the NFL Combine with the Buccaneers but didn’t have any other contact with them after that.

Last year Seferian-Jenkins bulked up to be a better run blocker and he admitted that being 285 pounds was a little too heavy for him but now he’s around 260 and that’s a much better weight for him.

What will Seferian-Jenkins have to improve? He told FI that it’s about staying focused and being consistent with his technique at tight end.

With Vincent Jackson and 1st round pick Mike Evans, Seferian-Jenkins said being on an offense with such great size could be very special.

Finally, the newest member of the Bucs said he can’t wait to block for guys like Doug Martin and anybody else that has to run the ball. He’s just ready to win.

Seferian-Jenkins had one final message to Bucs fans: “Get ready to win some games…get ready for a historic offense.”
