Pilot Reports Laser Shined Into Cockpit

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say someone shined a laser into the cockpit of a plane near Palm Beach International Airport.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says the green laser was spotted in a cockpit Monday night.

The flight wasn’t affected, but deputies are reminding residents that misuse of lasers is dangerous and classified as a felony.

The source of the light wasn’t found. The sheriff’s office said further information on the plane and the flight was not immediately available.

An airport spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.
