Parents Accused Of Attacking Bus Driver For Not Letting Children Off Fast Enough

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (CBS Tampa) – Two people have been arrested after attacking a school bus driver after the driver did not let students off the bus fast enough, according to the Sun Sentinel.

When the driver of the bus, Joseph Beauzile, tried to have the kids line up and get off the bus in a straight line, Shacaurra Burns forced herself onto the bus and pulled the emergency brake, according to the police report obtained by the Sentinel.

The report went on to say that a student told Beauzile to lock the door so Burns would be locked in while he called police.

Another man, Ryan Beckford, ripped the door open and started to punch the driver.

Students told police that Burns got on the bus because she was in a rush.

A third suspect, later identified as Jean Bertrand, grabbed the keys to the bus and threw them outside.

“That’s why I think the school district has to do something about that because it’s not only me, it’s about the school, security of my kids, and my security,” he told the paper.

All three have been charged with trespassing, battery, and child abuse.  They are being held in the Palm Beach County Jail.
