PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — A Disney Cruise Line crew member is accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl on board a cruise ship.

Canaveral Port Authority officials tell WKMG-TV that 36-year-old Ahmed Sofyan of Indonesia molested the teenage girl while the Disney Dream ship was docked in Port Canaveral.

“We have no tolerance whatsoever for the behavior alleged in this incident,” Karl Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line, told WKMG in a press release. “We are sorry that anything of this nature could have occurred on one of our ships. We place enormous value on the trust our guests have in us, and nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of each and every one of our guests.”

According to Florida Today, Disney called Canaveral Port Authority police Thursday after docking following a cruise to the Bahamas. It is not known how long Sofyan has been working for Disney Cruise Line.

Rosalind Harvey, senior director of communications & community affairs for the Canaveral Port Authority, tells Florida Today that Disney reported the incident promptly.

“According to our police department, Disney Cruise Line has been very, very cooperative,” Harvey told Florida Today. “They did everything they could with safety in mind.”

WKMG reports that the FBI and the U.S. Coast Guard were also notified of the alleged incident.

Sofyan is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail and has been charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and one count of false imprisonment.
