(BLOG) Check out Marc Ryan’s Final 4 Picks!

In case you missed it, the Out Of Bounds Crew made their Final Four picks on the show tonight, sans Rollergirl who was out at Ferg’s with Booger and Rich.

Pants has Florida beating Uconn, Kentucky over Wisconsin, with the Wildcats winning the national title. In other news, the University of Florida has requested his diploma back.

Monika took Uconn over the Gators, and the Badgers over Big Blue Nation, with Wisconsin taking it all.

Here’s my take:

Florida over Uconn – by double digits. How lucky is it that the Gators potentially have the chance to avenge their only two defeats of the season IN the Final Four? On 12/3, Uconn beat the Gators by one….at the buzzer….on a scramble drill broken play….at Uconn….without Scotty Wilbekin to defend Shabazz Napier. It was the most painful defeat of the season, and the four seniors on Florida remember. Uconn’s point guard, Shabazz Napier, is great, and an underrated NBA talent. But he won’t be enough – gators by MORE than the experts think.

Wisconsin over Kentucky – brains over braun – SUCH a compelling matchup – the “All Futures” NBA team of Kentucky vs, the fundamentally sound, smart, efficient, euro-style Badgers. I think Wisconsin forces Kentucky out of its up tempo, forces the ‘Cats to play its game, and people realize that Kentucky’s very good, but not at a level above the rest of college basketball’s elite. Wichita St., Louisville, and Michigan were all coin flip games – Big Blue Nation just landed heads three times in a row.

Title Game – Florida over Wisconsin
The Badgers are the only team this season to beat the Gators “legitimately.” While the Gators weren’t completely healthy, Kaminski hadn’t yet gone bonkers for the Badgers, either, yet Wisconsin led this one by 5-10 points throughout. I think this game is EXTREMELY close – you just don’t blow out a Bo Ryan coached team at this stage of the tourney – but in the end, Florida’s experience and athleticism are too much – the game is tied at 67 late, with Scotty wilbekin draining the game-winning three with under 10 seconds to go. Wisconsin misses a desperation three as time expires.

Billy Donovan wins his third national title….then skips town.

Vietnam Veterans' Bond Forged Again With Kidney DonationServing together in Vietnam, John Middaugh and Henry "Bill" Warner forged an Army-brothers bond they knew was profound and lasting. A world and nearly a half a century away from the war zone where they'd counted on each other, Middaugh put himself on the line for Warner this month in a new way: by giving one of his kidneys.
