17. Baltimore Ravens – CJ Mosley – LB – Alabama
Commish’s Comments:
After signing Steve Smith and trading for Jeremy Zuttah, the Ravens are in a good position to take the clichéd best player on the board. Mosley can come in and become a leader on their defense. There are some slight injury concerns, but Mosley has proven to be a dominant defensive player at times. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

18. New York Jets – Brandin Cooks – WR – Oregon St. C
ommish’s Comments:
Yes, the Jets got Jacoby Ford, but Brandin Cooks is a legit speed threat who plays much bigger than his frame. Right now, I think Cooks could go here to the Jets, but he’s a contender to keep moving up the boards. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

19. Miami Dolphins – Xavier Su’a-Filo – OG – UCLA
Commish’s Comments:
The Dolphins need an offensive lineman, but they damn sure don’t need a lineman like Lewan with character concerns. Su’a-Filo is the top guard in this draft in my opinion and has All-Pro potential. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

20. Arizona Cardinals – Taylor Lewan – OT – Michigan
Commish’s Comments:
The Cardinals got their guard last year, now they can get a nasty offensive tackle to anchor their line. I’d guess the Cardinals would take a young quarterback to groom in this draft behind Carson Palmer, but to get a potential franchise left tackle here is too big to pass up. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

21. Green Bay Packers –  Jace Amaro – TE – Texas Tech
Commish’s Comments:
The Packers could reach for a defensive player, but the loss of JerMichael Finley opens the door for the big pass catching Jace Amaro to be selected here. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

22. Philadelphia Eagles –  Kony Ealy – DE – Missouri
Commish’s Comments:
Chip Kelly likes long and physical rush linebackers off the edge. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

23. Kansas City Chiefs –  David Yankey – OG – Stanford
Commish’s Comments:
Andy Reid has a pattern of taking a lot of offensive linemen in the 1st rounds of drafts. Yankey is considered by some to be the top guard in the draft. The Chiefs lost both of their starting guards this off-season. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

24. Cincinnati Bengals –  Darqueze Dennard – CB – Michigan St.
Commish’s Comments: Dennard is a physical corner who brings some youth to the Bengals secondary. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

25. San Diego Chargers – Bradley Roby – CB – Ohio St.
Commish’s Comments: Roby is as talented as any corner in this draft, but lacks technique and seems to rely more on his talent than preparation. Roby’s talent is too much for the CB-needy Chargers to pass on. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

26. Cleveland Browns (via IND) – Teddy Bridgewater – QB – Louisville
Commish’s Comments:
Whichever QB it might be, if any of the top 3 make it past the Vikings with the 8th pick, they could slide at least this far. Bridgewater is an accurate passer who is a quiet leader. If his two receivers are Josh Gordon and Sammy Watkins, he’ll likely have a bright future in the NFL. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

27. New Orleans Saints – DeMarcus Lawrence – DE/OLB – Boise St.
Commish’s Comments:
There’s always a surprise player who sneaks into the 1st round. Lawrence has had some character concerns, but he is a hell of a pass rusher in the Rob Ryan mold. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

28. Carolina Panthers – Kelvin Benjamin – WR – FSU
Commish’s Comments:
The Panthers have to go WR, right? Benjamin is a huge target that can also stretch the field. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

29. New England Patriots – Louis Nix – DT – Notre Dame
Commish’s Comments:
Nix next to Vince Wilfork will prevent any team from running the football on them. Nix is very athletic for 340 lbs. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

30. San Francisco 49ers – Kyle Fuller – CB – Virginia Tech
Commish’s Comments:
The 49ers need a corner to match up in man coverage in their defense. Fuller has had some injury issues, but his natural instincts should fit well with the 49ers defense. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

31. Denver Broncos – Ryan Shazier – LB – Ohio St.
Commish’s Comments:
Shazier can do everything you want out of a linebacker. He’s as athletic as they come and should fit in at middle linebacker for the Broncos. ROUND 2   ROUND 3

32. Seattle Seahawks – Timmy Jernigan – DT – FSU
Commish’s Comments:
Jernigan slips a little, but we all know the Seahawks love pass rushers. Nice replacement for Red Bryant and Clinton McDonald. ROUND 2   ROUND 3
