(AUDIO) Bishop Looking Forward To Playoffs

Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop joined Fan Interference to talk to the guys about last night’s wild shootout, and talk about this team as they head towards the playoffs. Bishop said that last night was one of the more fun things he had been apart of and that he was not very fatigued at all during those 13 rounds.

Bishop was asked about his health and said that around this time of year, everyone is a little banged up, but he was ready to go as many times as this team needs him.  Since we last spoke with Bishop, Ryan Callahan joined the team from the New York Rangers and sent the team captain Martin St Louis back to the big apple. Bishop did say that the team found it odd that the captain wanted to leave for whatever his reasons maybe, but that the constant talk about a trade for him did hang over the locker room.

In Callahan, Bishop said that they were getting a guy who really rounded out the lineup of the team with the style of hockey that he plays. Callahan is a guy who does not mind sticking his nose in the corners, and doesn’t mind getting in the dirty areas to get a goal in front of the net.
