(AUDIO) Mike Williams May Not Play a Down for Lovie Smith

Bucs beat writer for the Tampa Bay Times Greg Auman joined Booger and Rich after his piece on those who witnessed the alleged stabbing of Mike Williams by his brother Eric Baylor and the news that Steve Masiello lied to USF about having a degree.

Auman noted that USF didn’t hire Chucky Atkins as an assistant because he didn’t have a 4 year degree. Auman has heard that if a coach didn’t have a 4 year degree, higher ups at USF could approve the move. In Masiello’s case, Auman said that the key wasn’t so much the degree, but that he lied about having it.

Auman also said that he spoke to witnesses who were at Mike Williams house. Auman said that the Buccaneers realize Williams is the victim but were unhappy that he found himself in a situation like this. If he had to guess, Auman says he doesn’t think Williams will play a down for Lovie Smith.
