Bo Jackson recently said that Russell Wilson should stick to football and it’s too difficult for an athlete to play in two sports these days because of the depth in the major sports. Former two sport athlete Deion Sanders joined Booger and Rich to discuss Jackson’s comments.
Sanders disagreed with Jackson and said playing both football and baseball was his lifestyle. He can’t understand how people can tell others that they can’t play two sports.
When it comes to Jameis Winston, Sanders says it irks him when people say he has to choose one sport. Sanders says even collegiate athletes don’t have to choose even if they are that far along in their athletic career.
Sanders says he encourages kids he coaches to just have fun. He thinks that playing multiple sports helps them both athletically and academically because kids have to stay academically eligible for both sports.
