Gas Shortages Reported In Central Florida

TAMPA (CBS Tampa) – Drivers in central Florida are finding it harder to fuel up, reports WESH-TV.

They say several stations have been spotted with bags over the pump nozzles or “closed”signs.

Judy Knight is frustrated and running out of gas. “Well, I have less than a quarter of a tank,” she said.

Prices have jumped over 20 cents since Friday.

“We just have to be a little bit more careful about how we drive,” Knight said. “I feel really bad for people that work and families that have two cars. That’s really not good.”

A 7-Eleven spokeswoman said a gasoline terminal that serves the Orlando area ran out of gas and was trying to get fuel from Port Canaveral and other locations.
