It is well known of the run Josh McCown went on last year, when he filled in for the injured Jay Cutler and started 5 games. He threw 13 touchdowns and just 1 interception. The main concern is whether McCown’s performance was just a product of Marc Trestman’s system.
Before last season, McCown served as a backup in Chicago, playing sparingly in 2011 and 2012. Before the 2011 season, McCown was coaching high school football in North Carolina.
