(AUDIO) Michael Johnson: My Sack Numbers Will Come Back Up

Newly signed Bucs defensive end Michael Johnson joined Booger and guest host Marc Ryan to explain why he decided to sign with Lovie Smith in the Buccaneers.

Johnson said that the Bucs are a great fit for him. He loves the talent on the roster and was excited to come play for a coach like Lovie Smith.

Johnson’s sack numbers dropped from 11.5 in 2012 to 3.5 last season. Johnson said his sack numbers will come back up. He said he played much better last season despite not tallying sack stats. He pressured the QB and you’ll see that on the tape according to Johnson. Johnson added that he will be all over opposing QB’s this season. If they go to the bathroom, Johnson said he’ll be there peaking over the stall.

Despite the Bucs 4-12 record, Johnson says that right now everyone is 0-0 and he is focused on the next snap he plays and that’s it. Johnson finished by saying that the Bucs will be successful.
