Report: Bucs Agree To Terms With DE Michael Johnson

Multiple sources, including NFL Insider Jason LaCanfora and ESPN’s Josina Anderson,  are reporting that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a 5-year deal with free agent DE Michael Johnson worth almost $44 million, including $24 million in guaranteed money.

LaCanfora and Anderson first broke the news via their Twitter accounts:

Rumors that the Bucs had been fervently pursuing Johnson picked up steam yesterday, along with speculation regarding the now-expected release of DB Darrelle Revis, which if reports are correct will take place at 4pm unless the Bucs can find a last-minute trade partner for the Pro Bowl corner.

Johnson is considered the premier pass rusher in this year’s NFL free agent class. Over the past two seasons with the Bengals, he collected 15 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and over 100 tackles.
