Josh McCown to Visit Bucs First on his NFL Free Agency Tour
While the Buccaneers remain active in free agency, the question remains as to whether Lovie Smith will be satisfied with Mike Glennon as his quarterback.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bucs are bringing in Josh McCown for a visit.
McCown’s visit to Tampa will be his first of what could be a 3-team tour followed by a trip to the Texans and Jets.
It is well known of the run Josh McCown went on last year, when he filled in for the injured Jay Cutler and started 5 games. He threw 13 touchdowns and just 1 interception. My concern is whether McCown was a product of Marc Trestman’s system. Before last season, McCown served as a backup in Chicago, playing sparingly in 2011 and 2012. Before the 2011 season, McCown was coaching high school football in North Carolina.
