REPORT: Bucs Will Release Darrelle Revis If They Can’t Trade Him By Wednesday At 4PM

Per multiple sources, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will reportedly release cornerback Darrelle Revis if they can’t find a trade partner by Wednesday at 4PM.

Revis was traded to the Bucs from the Jets prior to the 2013 season for a first and a third round draft pick. If he is released before Thursday at 4 then that third rounder becomes a fourth rounder.

Since Lovie Smith was hired to be the Bucs 10th Head Coach there has been speculation that they would try to move the superstar corner, because he doesn’t seem to fit Smith’s Tampa 2 zone scheme.
