After missing 45 games with a broken right tibia, Lightning center Steven Stamkos has been cleared to play, and will return to the ice Thursday night against the Buffalo Sabres. Stamkos released the announcement on his Twitter account:

Stamkos comes back to a Lightning club that is going through a rough patch, losing 7 of their last 10. The Bolts have 20 games remaining and are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference standings.
