(AUDIO) Rick Peckham Says Steven Stamkos is Chomping at the Bit to Get Back

Sun Sports Lightning play-by-play announcer Rick Peckham joined The Booger and Rich Show to talk about the Lightning’s recent struggles on their post-Olympic road trip out west.

Peckham said it wasn’t ideal for the Lightning to come out of the Olympic break on a long road trip. Right now it looks like the Lightning have done all they can without their star Steven Stamkos. Peckham said that Stamkos is chomping at the bit to get back on the ice. Peckham also noted that Valterri Filppula’s return will greatly impact the Lightning’s offense.

The Lightning’s special teams have been a major issue lately and Peckham said that their powerplay has been struggling since the beginning of the season. They seem to have trouble setting up in the zone and they don’t seem to look for the shot opportunity enough.
