Seattle radio host Steve Sandmeyer joined Booger and Rich to let you know what to expect out of newly signed Rays pitcher and former Mariner Erik Bedard.
Sandmeyer said that Bedard was an unmitigated disaster when he came to the Mariners because of all of his injury issues. The Mariners gave up a lot to get him and Sandmeyer said he’s not a guy that will pitch deep into games. He can give you four or five innings and turns into a “pumpkin” after that. He’s a 90 pitch guy.
Bedard wasn’t always friendly with the fans and media in Seattle either which Sandmeyer said didn’t help his cause.
Sandmeyer said Bedard would probably rather listen to Dave Matthews Band in the dugout than go out and pitch.
