Police: Man Bites Neighbor’s Ear Off After He Wouldn’t Give Him A Cigarette

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — A man is accused of biting off his neighbor’s ear after he wouldn’t give him a cigarette.

Victim John Ott tells WPEC-TV that doctors had to sew his ear back on after Alberto Felipe took a bite out of him over a cigarette.

“This all started because I wouldn’t give him a cigarette,” Ott told WPEC. “He comes up, puts me in a bear hug, and next thing I know he’s biting my ear.”

Boca Raton authorities arrested Felipe for felony battery after severing Ott’s right ear.

Boca News Now reports Felipe posted $3,000 bond.

This wasn’t Felipe’s first run-in with authorities. WPEC reports that he was arrested three other times on assault and battery charges.

Ott says he plans on filing a restraining order against Felipe.
