ESPN college football analyst Brian Griese joined Booger and Rich live from Pasadena to break down tonight’s BCS Title Game between the Auburn Tigers and Florida State Seminoles.
Griese said that Auburn is the worst team statistically that’s ever played for the title but it’s about how many points you give up, not how many yards. Griese did say that Auburn can’t expect to just blitz Jameis Winston because their corners will be on an island with FSU’s stud receivers.
Griese said that what we’ve seen from Jameis Winston is one of the greatest performances by a college QB in history. He said you can’t question him and all he’s done is make plays and gained the respect of his entire team.
The key for FSU’s defense according to Griese is tackling guys like Tre Mason in space and preventing the big play.
Griese also said that even if FSU loses, we’re seeing an acceleration of Jimbo Fisher’s plan and they still have a freshman QB, it’s safe to say the Seminoles are back.
