Taggart Announces USF Football Staff Changes

TAMPA, JAN. 3, 2014 – University of South Florida Football coach Willie Taggart today announced that offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Walt Wells and quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Nick Sheridan will not return for the 2014 season.

“I would like to thank Walt and Nick for their hard work and dedication to the USF football program,” Taggart said. “I appreciate their professionalism and service to USF and wish them the best in their future endeavors.”

Both Wells and Sheridan completed their first season on the USF coaching staff in 2013 and had previously worked on Taggart’s staff at Western Kentucky.

Taggart will begin an immediate search to fill the two coaching staff positions and will not comment on the status of that search until the positions have been filled.

The Bulls return 16 starters (9 offense, 5 defense and 2 specialists) for Taggart’s second season at the helm.
