AVALON PARK, Fla. (CBS Tampa) - Local authorities are investigating the murder of area resident Christopher Albano, who was said to have been shot to death by his own son.
Deputies in Orange County told the Orlando Sentinel that the 15-year-old child, whose name was withheld due to his age, shot the man on Wednesday just before 2:30 a.m. after he returned home intoxicated and began to hit the boy’s mother, Jinette Albano.
After the shooting, Jinette Albano called 911, which brought police to the scene. To date, no arrests have been made, the paper learned. According to those who live in the area, it was not the first time police had come to the home.
The Sentinel spoke with 47-year-old Paula Womick, who had heard shots fired a year ago in the home, and had called 911 with another neighbor at the time.
Last month, Womick observed more strange activity at the Albano’s residence, claiming that a nude Christopher Albano could be seen “howling” and performing karate moves at 1 a.m. one night on his back porch.
The Albano family had reportedly been living in the neighborhood since 2008.
