(AUDIO) Former GM Scott Pioli Says It Doesn’t Matter if the Coach or GM is Hired First

Former NFL GM Scott Pioli joined Booger and Rich to talk about candidates for the next Bucs GM and to help us evaluate the current Bucs roster.

Pioli says it doesn’t matter if a coach or GM is hired first. The thing you need most is two partners who are willing to work together. Pioli says winning championships isn’t just a one person job.

Pioli have to find someone who is compatible with Lovie Smith and his style. Pioli says Lovie Smith won’t force anything on his GM and will be a great partner with whomever the Bucs decide to hire as their GM. Pioli also said that the Bucs GM job is an attractive one because of Lovie Smith and because of their current roster.

Overall, Pioli loves the hire of Lovie Smith. He said it’s a great move for the owners and the fans.
