The Buccaneers will be sending 2 players to Hawaii for the NFL Pro Bowl and they are Gerald McCoy and Darrelle Revis. One name that was left off of the pro bowl was Lavonte David who leads the Bucs in tackles.
For Revis, this is his 5th trip to the Pro Bowl, and his first in Tampa Bay after being traded to the Bucs in the offseason. Revis this season has 47 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 2 INT’s, and 1 sack.
Gerald McCoy is in his 4th season in Tampa and this is his second trip to the Pro Bowl in back to back seasons. This year McCoy has been by far the best Bucs lineman with 48 tackles and 9 sacks along with 1 fumble recovery.
Perhaps the biggest news from the Pro Bowl announcement is the omission of 2nd year linebacker Lavonte David. David has been a bright spot for the Bucs this season. His 137 tackles going into week 17 is good enough for 5th in the league to go along with 5 INT’s, 6 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
