Former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum joined Booger and Rich to talk about the job that Mark Dominik is doing as the Bucs general manager.
Tannenbaum said he liked Mike Glennon coming out of NC State. He has a lot to like and his athleticism is underrated. Tannenbaum said he should be just as good as EJ Manuel in his overall career.
When it comes to Mark Dominik, Tannenbaum said he’s made some good first round picks including guys like Mark Barron and Gerald McCoy. He can see why the team has built their defense with secondary first because the NFC South is loaded with good receivers. Tannenbaum noted you’re in good shape when you can matchup Julio Jones with Darrelle Revis.
When it comes to the Revis trade, Tannenbaum said the grade on the trade is incomplete. He’s incredibly competitive and used to fight receivers in practice while he was with the Jets.
Going forward, Tannenbaum says the Bucs need to build running back depth and continue to build a great defense. He said they aren’t far away from being a team like the Panthers.
