Victor Rudd And Double OT Needed To Lift Bulls Past FGCU

It took double overtime and a surge from forward Victor Rudd to lift the USF Bulls to their seventh victory of the season over FGCU (5-5) at the Sundome Tuesday night, 68-66.

Rudd, who finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead all Bulls scoring, accounted for seven of USF’s eleven points in the second overtime, including three key free throws on a night where the Bulls struggled from the line, finishing 7-20 as a team. John Egbunu had 12 points and Chris Perry added 10 of his own to help the effort.

FGCU guard, Bernard Thompson rained down three point shots all night long including four in a row, finishing with a career-high 32 points on the night to lead all scoring.

The Bulls (7-2) face Florida A&M (2-8) Thursday night at the Sundome. Tip off is at 7:00 PM.
