(AUDIO) Ronde Barber Says Bucs Fans Should Be Happy to Have a QB Like Mike Glennon

Ronde Barber 12-16

Former Buccaneer Ronde Barber called Sunday’s Bucs 49ers game with FOX and joined Booger and Rich to talk about what he saw from the booth.

The Bucs were blitzing the 49ers on 3rd down Sunday and got beat when Colin Kaepernick broke contain. Barber said that’s the Bucs M.O. this season because they don’t trust their front four to get to the QB on their own. He doesn’t mind the call because they have good blitzers like Lavonte David. Kap just got them on Barber said.

With Mike Glennon struggling recently, Barber said that he could be a franchise QB, but he isn’t yet. Although he hasn’t been at his best, Barber says he’s still a better option than guys like EJ Manuel and Geno Smith and Bucs fans should be happy with that. Barber did say that the Bucs have a big decision this offseason whether or not they decide to draft a QB.

When asked about playing and now working with Greg Schiano in production meetings, Barber said he never had an issue with him because he’s very straight forward. Barber also said that the locker room appreciates Schiano’s consistency.
