Police: Mom Found Passed Out In Intersection After Doing ‘Whip-Its’ With Infant In Backseat

BRADENTON, Fla. (CBS Tampa Bay) – A local woman was arrested after police found her sleeping in her car while parked at an intersection with her 1-year-old child in the back seat of the vehicle.

Local authorities were initially called to the scene after a good Samaritan offered to drive the woman and her son to a nearby location upon finding her sleeping in the intersection.

CBS affiliate WTSP-10 learned that the woman, 29-year-old Jennifer Ann Lee, had been “doing whip-its” before police found her from a friend of hers that spoke with authorities on the matter. Several containers discovered in the car corroborate the friend’s story.

When questioned by authorities, Lee reportedly said that she had fallen asleep while driving because she was “tired and it happens.” She was also said to have verbally attacked officers during her arrest.

Lee is now facing one charge of child neglect, the station learned.
