(AUDIO) Baseball Writer Scott Miller Says It’s Time to Move David Price if the Prospects are Right

National baseball writer Scott Miller joined Booger and Rich to talk about the latest trade rumors involving the Rays and ace David Price.

Miller said it’s time to move Price if and only if the package you get in return is right for him. The biggest mistake the Rays can make is moving Price out of desperation. If Price is traded, Miller said the Rays need to get 3 or 4 prospects that all have big potential.

Miller counts out the Angels in the running for Price because they don’t have the prospects the Rays need in return. However the Rangers have the right prospects and could make a move and the Dodgers have deep pockets that could support Price’s contract.

Miller complimented the Rays front office and said Andrew Friedman and Joe Maddon have a great relationship and work as well as any team in MLB. In his opinion, the Rays can become a better team if they move Pirce now as long as the players they get in return are comparable to guys like Wil Myers.
