Police: Man Arrested For Beating Up Teen Who Was Fighting His Son

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – A 51-year-old Florida man was caught on video beating a 14-year-old boy and throwing him to the ground, reports News 13 in Orlando.

Satellite Beach police released stills from a video of what they are calling a “consensual fight” between two teenage boys.

Several people are seen cheering on the teens, including Carl Nicks the father of one of the fighters.

When Nicks’ son appeared to be losing the fight, he jumped in, grabbing the other boy by the back of his shirt.

Nicks then threw the 14-year-old to the ground, picked him up and punched him twice, say police.

In the video, the bystanders jeer Nicks for getting involved.

He has been charged with child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
