Buccaneers Place Crabtree On IR, Sign TE Kyle Adams

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have signed tight end Kyle Adams and placed tight end Tom Crabtree on Injured Reserve.

Adams (6-4, 255) entered the league as a college free agent with the Chicago Bears. In his third season, Adams has played in 24 games with two starts, recording four receptions for 40 yards. Adams will wear No. 86 for the Buccaneers.
A native of Austin, Texas, Adams played collegiately at Purdue, appearing in 46 games, catching 79 passes for 660 yards and three touchdowns.

Crabtree played in seven games for Tampa Bay this season, with five starts, totaling four catches for 21 yards and a touchdown.
