(AUDIO) John Lynch Would Advise Dashon Goldson to Go Low

John Lynch 11-21

Former Buccaneers great and Hall of Fame semifinalist Johny Lynch joined Booger and Rich to talk about his possible induction into Canton.

Lynch said that it was an honor to be named with former comrades in Derrick Brooks and Tony Dungy when he heard he was named a semifinalist for the NFL Hall of Fame.

Last year Lynch said he was that disappointed when he didn’t make the finalists for the Hall of Fame. Lynch said his 15 year resume speaks for itself and now the it’s in the hands of the voters. To be among the great names on the list, Lynch said it’s a great honor. He loved being a part of it last year with Warren Sapp.

With John Lynch being named by NFL Network the 10th biggest hitter in NFL history, Lynch said guys like Dashon Goldson who are hard hitters are being asked to do the impossible. Lynch said guys that have a knack for hitting hard are being singled out. He was glad to see Goldson win his appeal last time, but when you keep going in front of the league, you’re going to get nailed.

Lynch said as much as he hates it, he would recommend that Goldson goes lower to avoid any more fines or suspensions. Overall, Lynch said he wishes common sense would prevail in the NFL and those who are cheap shotting players should be punished most.
