(AUDIO) Senior VP of the Orlando Magic Pat Williams Says He Likes the Team’s Future

Senior VP of the Orlando Magic Pat Williams joined Booger and Rich to talk a little NBA and to let fans know what the future of the Magic is.

Williams said the Miami Heat is still the team to beat and Lebron James is the best player on the planet. He said James is just coming into the prime of his career and they’ve actually gotten better in the offseason. If there is a team that can beat the heat, Williams says the Spurs and Warriors look like strong competitors.

When it comes to the Magic, Williams says he likes their future. They aren’t rushing the process and are building their team with young players.

Williams said that he thinks Dwight Howard left because for some reason he thought he couldn’t reach his full potential by staying in Orlando. Williams said they told Howard not to become an NBA nomad and keep his roots where he started with the Magic. Despite losing Howard, Williams said the trade has benefited the Magic greatly.
