BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Corey Allen Jr. scored 19 points and Victor Rudd helped spark USF in the second half in a 75-61 win over Bowling Green on Friday night.
Allen scored nine in the final eight minutes of the game for USF (3-0). Rudd had only three points in the first half, but finished with 16 points. Rudd made a 3-pointer, and Allen converted a three-point play, to help the Bulls maintain their lead in the second half.
USF led 35-28 at the half as John Egbunu scored 12 points in the first 20 minutes.
Jehvon Clarke led Bowling Green with 17 points, 12 in the second half. Spencer Parker added 11 points for the Falcons and Richaun Holmes scored 10.
It was the 200th career win for USF head coach Stan Heath. USF is now 3-0, and Bowling Green is 1-1.
