(VIDEO) Pazza Bistro’s Inferno Pizza Challenge Conquered (Sort Of)

Not too long ago, Mark from Pazza Bistro in Pinellas Park brought in one of their signature Inferno Pizzas to the 98.7 The Fan studios and challenged the boys on Fan Interference to see if they were up to the challenge of conquering their Inferno Pizza Challenge. In case you don’t recall, the challenge involved consuming all eight slices of a 12″ pizza topped with their unique spicy pizza sauce, fresh habañero and jalapeño peppers, and pepper powder made from Ghost Peppers, the 2nd hottest pepper known to man (400 times hotter than Tabasco® Sauce), and doing it all in 20 minutes. No napkins or silverware are allowed in the challenge, and the participant is only allowed a single glass of water to help manage the heat.

That day in our studios, only Justin Pawlowski, our fearless Commish, managed to eat more than one slice of that hellaciously spicy pizza, consuming four slices before having to tap out. Since then, we’ve hoped for the opportunity to witness other intrepid souls willing to risk life and taste buds in accepting the challenge, and just last week, we got our chance. Scroll down to watch the video …

So Ron didn’t have to eat the whole thing, but his achievement was enough for us to give him USF Bulls tickets. Are you to the challenge? Head over to Pazza Bistro tonight and give it a try!
