(AUDIO) Hardy Nickerson Says There Seems to be a Lack of Leadership in the Dolphins Locker Room
Former Bucs LB Hardy Nickerson joined Booger and Rich to talk about hazing in the NFL and the harassment by Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito.
Nickerson would make Booger get breakfast for the entire team and Nickerson specifically asked for apple fritters with the donuts. Nickerson said all the rookies were great back, but what’s happening in Miami is mind-boggling.
Nickerson said back when he played, rookies were expected to be on time, you had to bring breakfast on travel days and if your position wanted something you had to get it for them. Nickerson said there were small things like taping a guy to a chair if he kept getting up in a meeting. The main things Nickerson said was guys were welcomed with open arms and everyone knew the rookies and vets all had one common goal.
Nickerson said that as a coach sometimes there are things you don’t know about it but once it happens, you have to address it. Where that stuff is governed is in the locker room. He said there seems to be a lack of leadership in that Dolphins locker room.
