(AUDIO) Lamar Thomas: FSU Miami Rivalry is What You Come to College For

Former Cane Lamar Thomas talked with Booger and Rich about this weekend’s huge rivalry between the Seminoles and his Hurricanes.

Thomas said he hates to compare this year’s team to the U in the 80’s and 90’s but he did say he thinks they are one year out from being a force in college football.

Thomas praised this year’s FSU team saying they are special but they always tend to choke against Miami. If they’re going to make it to the National Championship, Thomas says this will be a high hurdle.

So what can the Canes do to beat the Noles? Thomas said they have to start fast and can’t have the dumb turnovers. Thomas said they also have to keep it close and find a way to win the game in the 4th quarter. They also have to run Duke Johnson and can’t try to for the home run play. They have to dink and dunk and play mistake free football.

Thomas closed by saying that this rivalry game is the reason you come to college.
