(AUDIO) College Football Insider Pat Forde Give Marcus Mariota a Slight Heisman Edge Over Jameis Winston

Pat Forde 10-24

Our college football insider Pat Forde from Yahoo! Sports stopped by to talk about FSU’s big win over Clemson last weekend and the rise of Jameis Winston.

Despite the big win Forde says that Alabama is still the best team in the nation. There are 3 teams that have separated themselves according to Forde: FSU, Orgeon and Alabama. But until Alabama falters, they remain number one.

FSU’s impressive win was the best Forde has seen all season but Forde said if they face off with Bama in the National Championship Game, you’d likely see some exotic defenses that can slow down Jameis Winston.

Speaking of Jameis Winston, Forde say he’s currently on his short list for Heisman candidates along with Johnny Manziel and Marcus Mariota. If the season ended today, Forde’s vote would go to Mariota with a slight edge over Jameis Winston. Forde said he sees nothing that Mariota is doing wrong and he’s been consistently spectacular.

Teddy Bridgewater will travel to Tampa this weekend to take on USF and Forde says that the Bulls are finally getting better and this could be a letdown game for Louisville.
