(AUDIO) Bomani Jones: Grambling State Players Are Entilted to Not Have Staph Infection in Their Locker Room

With the recent turmoil and forfeiture of a game at Grambling State, ESPN’s Bomani Jones joined Booger and Rich to give his take on the situation.

Jones said he hopes the player’s are entitled to not having staph infection in their locker room. Despite the state of the entire university, Jones said that you can’t allow staph infections to take over the locker room. To him, that’s more a sign of laziness than lack of funding.

When looking at the state of athletics at Grambling, Jones said there is no answer to gaining stability. Jones said some people have suggested moving down to Division II. Jones said getting rid of the football team isn’t an option.

Jones said this isn’t going to start a mutiny at other universities, especially at a major university.

Jones touched on the Buccaneers situation and said that this may be less of a coaching issue and more of a organizational issue. He said there were issues before Schiano even got to the Bucs. Jones said he doesn’t understand what the coaching staff’s plan was with Josh Freeman.

Jones said the Bucs are a HUGE laughing stock right now. He said they’re viewed just like the Jaguars, the only difference is the talent is there in Tampa Bay.
