(AUDIO) College Football Insider Pat Forde: FSU Needs to Run the Ball Against Clemson

Thursday’s at 3:40pm College Football Insider Pat Forde of Yahoo! Sports joins Booger and Rich. Forde talked about the big matchup this weekend between Florida State and Clemson in Death Valley.

Forde said that from what he’s seen, FSU is the better team and he expects them to win this game, however, he says he wouldn’t be surprised if Clemson was able to beat the Noles.

As good as Jameis Winston has been, Forde said that he would not overuse him against Clemson’s defense. Forde said the key will be how well the Noles use their running game. Forde said Clemson is susceptible to the rush. Right now, Winston is a top 5 Heisman candidate for Forde and Clemson QB Tahj Boyd is just outside of the elite college QB’s right now.

Forde has Al Golden as his midseason coach of the year and if Miami does what they’re supposed to in North Carolina, they should be undefeated coming into their rivalry game with Florida State.

With a tough loss on the road to LSU, Forde said there may be rumblings in Gainesville that Brent Pease may not be the offensive coordinator who can get the job done. Forde said the offense has been underwhelming so far.
