(AUDIO) NFL Scout Dan Shonka: Mike Glennon is Not Ready to Start

NFL scout Don Shonka, who scouted Bucs QB Mike Glennon, joined Booger and Rich to talk about what fans can expect from this rookie QB.

Shonka says that Glennon definitely needs foot work mechanics and his functional mobility isn’t at NFL standards. Shonka gave him a 3rd or 4th round grade and said he needs to get stronger.

Glennon’s completion percentage was low his senior year at NC State but Shonka said he was the victim of a lot of dropped passes. The issue is that his completion percentage went down as he got more reps in the preseason.

Shonka said it’s going to be tough for Glennon adjust quickly to the NFL because of his bad foot mobility. With faster defensive ends in the NFL today, Shonka said it’s something Glennon will have to work on to improve. Shonka compared him to a stork and said his footwork just isn’t great.

In his professional opinion, Mike Glennon is not ready to start in the NFL.
