When Germany goes all out in celebration of Oktoberfest from Sept. 21 to Oct. 6, many merry sorts throughout the Tampa Bay region will also begin to squeeze into their lederhosen and kniebundhosen leisurewear and raise their steins in celebration. Tampa Bay’s largest Oktoberfest’s are filled with the best authentic German food, beer and music that can be found outside of Germany.

Top O’ The Bay Oktoberfest
At 5 p.m. on Friday. Oct 18 the first keg will be tapped at Oldsmar’s Oktoberfest at Tampa Bay Downs. This north pinellas county Oktoberfest brings the best of Old Bavaria and new Florida together for three full days of authentic German food, drink, music and dancing, along with a spectacular carnival & midway, a great arts & crafts show. All weekend long, you’re invited to get “into the act” by participating in one of the hourly contests on (and around) the Main Stage. This includes: Stein-Holding, Log Sawing, Keg Tossing and Barrel Rolling.
