Baby Recovering After BB Strikes Her Near Eye

HIALEAH, Fla. (AP) — A 3-month-old girl is recovering after a she was struck near the eye when a BB gun fired in her Hialeah home.

Police say the incident was an accident and her parents won’t face charges.

According to police, the father was placing the BB gun on a table inside the home when it fired. A BB ricocheted off the wall and struck the child above the eye.

Miami television stations report the parents rushed the girl to Palmetto General Hospital to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
