(AUDIO) Scott Reynolds from Pewter Report: It Doesn’t Bother Me that Freeman Isn’t a Captain

Every Monday and Friday Scott Reynolds from Pewter Report joins Booger and Rich to give you the best Bucs coverage in all of Tampa Bay. Today Reynolds gave us an update on Bucs practice and helped us preview the Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets.

Reynolds noted that even though Freeman wasn’t named a captain, he wasn’t concerned. He said that Davin Joseph and Vincent Jackson are better overall players. Jospeh, Jackson and Freeman are all leaders on the offense Reynolds said. This is Joseph’s offense according to Reynolds.

Carl Nicks’ status is still unknown but Scott Reynolds said that he doesn’t think Nicks is going. The MRSA infection in his foot is a serious thing and Reynolds said his best guess is he’ll be back Week 4 against the Cardinals.

So what can we expect from Darrelle Revis? Reynolds says he thinks the Jets won’t challenge him meaning Jonthan Banks will be targeted by Geno Smith. Revis will use the game as a tuneup for Drew Brees next week.
