Gator Bites North Fla. Man Working On Dock

LAKE CITY, Fla. (AP) — An alligator bit a man on the leg while he was working on a dock at Lake Jeffery in north Florida.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Karen Parker told the Gainesville Sun (http://bit.ly/1dt1U4n ) the incident happened Thursday afternoon.

The man was bitten on the leg. Parker says she doesn’t know the extent of the man’s injuries.

He was taken to University of Florida Health Shands Hospital shortly after the 3:30 p.m. incident.

Parker says the agency issued a permit to a trapper to capture the gator.
