Highest of expectations is the best way to define this entire division. And that burden always falls upon the signal callers. Each one of these storied franchises (Redskins, Giants, Cowboys, & Eagles) features a brand name starting QB, two of which are in there prime- Giants Eli Manning and Cowboys Tony Romo.
The other two quarterbacks are heading in opposite directions. Most believe Eagles QB Michael Vick is well past his prime. And of course, superstar in the making, Redskins QB Robert Griffin III, better known as RGIII is on the rise. All four of these franchise QB’s may be the most talked about and scrutinized of 2013. Look for the Redskins and Giants to battle for first place while the Eagles and Cowboys tread water, hoping to earn a Wild Card playoff berth, at best. If either team’s starting QB falters in one of their first few games, it will be an early sign of a probable benching and a long season.
